The idea was simple, pick one day a week to not eat meat and lower our carbon footprints. The goal of this movement has always been to lower meat consumption by 15% nationally.
Lowering the amount of meat consumed by 15% would be healthier for people and for the planet. The movement has even grown past just the US, many different countries around the world have adopted the idea.
